UPDATE: Fawnskin Attempted Murder Suspect In Custody

UPDATE: Saturday, August 16 – 8:33 p.m.

Fawnskin, CA – Jordan Lee Foster,  22, is now in custody and booked on suspicion of stabbing a 53-year-old woman in Fawnskin on Friday. SO BB StationFoster was arrested shortly after 2 p.m. Saturday, according to a media release issued by the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station.

The suspect was spotted by an individual who was driving on Highway 18 near Canyon Road in Fawnskin. Authorities were notified and they responded to an area near the shoreline of Big Bear Lake. Foster was detained without incident after a short foot pursuit.

BOOKING INFORMATION

He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on felony charges of attempted murder. Bail was set at $300,000. However, because Foster is on probation for unrelated charges, he remains in custody without the possibility of parole. Foster’s arraignment hearing is set for Tuesday, August 19.

Fawnskin, CA – A 22-year-old autistic man — identified by authorities as Jordan Lee Foster — is being sought by Big Bear Sheriff’;s deputies and is possibly armed and dangerous. He is suspected of stabbing a 53-year-old woman in the abdomen Friday afternoon and then fleeing the scene. THE INCIDENT

The Big Bear Sheriff’s Department dispatched deputies to the 39000 block of Barbara Lee Lane in Fawnskin at about 1:40 p.m. Friday (August 15)  to an unknown disturbance call. A media advisory issued by the Sheriff’s Department indicated that through investigation, deputies determined the white male suspect, stabbed the 53-year-old woman. It was reported that Foster fled the scene into a wooded area behind the residences prior to the arrival of officers. A ground and aerial search of the area failed to locate Foster.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

The female victim was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries. Foster is described by authorities as being 5-foot, 9-inches tall, with long black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt with light blue board-style shorts, and was wearing his hair in a ponytail. It is unknown if Foster is carrying any weapon.

ADVISORY: The public is advised to not attempt to detail Foster. Deputies indicate that due to his mental disabilities, Foster may become agitated if he is approached. (311)
