Crestline, CA – On Thursday, May 2, 2019, at approximately 9:43 p.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Twin Peaks Station, responded to the 24100 block of Horst Dr., Crestline, for report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Howard Frederick, a 33 year old resident of Crestline, got into a verbal argument with the victim, pointed a handgun at the victim’s head and told her he was going to kill her. The victim fled the residence to safety and was interviewed by deputies. Frederick barricaded himself inside the residence and refused to come out. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Specialized Enforcement Division was called to assist. After several hours, Frederick came out of the residence and was taken into custody without incident.
Frederick was arrested for PC 245(a)(2) Assault with a Deadly Weapon and was transported to the West Valley Detention Center for booking.
