Mountain Communities – Workers’ compensation insurance was established to assist injured and disabled workers whop are hurt at the workplace, become incapable of working at full capacity or not work at all. The goal of workers’ comp is to allow employees to return to work.
Some individuals have made the decision to take advantage of workers’ compensation system by engaging in less that scrupulous activities. Such activities are a crime.
REPORT FRAUD
The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office, Workers’ Compensation Fraud Prosecution Unit, responds to various reports of Insurance Fraud as a result of suspected fraud claims provided by an insurance company.
Mountain residents who suspect that someone is or has been involved in Workers’ Compensation Insurance Fraud are encouraged to report suspicions to the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s, Workers’ Compensation Fraud Prosecution Unit, by calling the WCF We-Tip line at (909) 891-3344 or via E-Mail at DAWorkersComp@sbcda.org.
