Big Bear Lake, CA – Big Bear Lake disc jockey Paul Noyes has been convicted of child molestation charges.
Noyes, 63, entered a guilty plea to a felony count of lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, under a plea bargain that dismisses a second felony count. Sentencing is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 2, in Department S-22.
The disc jockey remains in custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga, where he is being held on $500,000 bail, according to official booking documents.
Judge Victor Roy Stull referred Noyes to the Probation Department for pre-sentence investigation and report.
CASE INFORMATION
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reports that on November 24 a deputy responded to the 600 block of Jeffries Road in Big Bear Lake to a “keep the peace” call. When the deputy arrived, and after talking with the unidentified reporting party, the officer was advised the reporting party believed two 13-year-old female juveniles were being molested by a neighbor.
Detectives conducted a series of interviews with the involved parties, including the two juveniles.
A search warrant was obtained for Noyes’ residence and executed by detectives on November 27. During the search, evidence consistent with the victim’s statements was located at the suspect’s residence, according to information provided by the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station.
He was arrested later the same day. (273)
