Big Bear, CA – The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station, in association with their Community Partners, CHP, Big Bear Fire Dept., U. S. Forest Service, San Bernardino County Fire and the Department of Fish & Game will hold National Night Out to Big Bear Valley residents on Tuesday, August 6th. Come and join all at the Veterans Park in Big Bear Lake, between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. for an Open House. This is a free family oriented event to raise awareness about crime prevention and personal/household safety. Police and fire equipment will be on display, and there will be activities and giveaways for all who attend. They will be firing up the barbecue and have cold beverages, while supplies last. LifeStream will also be on hand for a Guns and Hoses blood drive and marrow screening.
National Night Out is an annual campaign organized through the National Association of Town Watch that promotes community partnerships and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. Together, they are making this happen . In recognition of National Night Out, residents throughout Big Bear Valley, and across the nation, are asked to lock their doors, turn on their front porch lights, and spend the evening of August 6th outside with neighbors, law enforcement and firefighters. National Night Out is a night to stand together and promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity through community partnerships and citizen involvement.
