Rimforest, CA – On Wednesday, June 27, 2018, about 3:00 a.m., Detective Turner,  from the Guntersville, Alabama Police Department, contacted Sgt Mulligan at the Twin Peaks Station. Detective Turner explained he was investigating a 16-year-old missing female juvenile, Shelby Rae Freeman, a resident of Alabama. He had information that she may be in the mountain community of Twin Peaks and was requesting assistance from the Sheriff’s Department.

Detective Turner said the missing juvenile would be driving a black 2017 Toyota Corolla with Alabama license plates, and she would be with her 18 year-old boyfriend, Caleb Walker, also a resident of Alabama.

Deputies assigned to the Twin Peaks Station began an area search looking for the vehicle and the missing juvenile. At about 4:00 a.m., Deputy K. Gallacher located the vehicle on Highway 18 near the community of Rimforest. Freeman and Walker were found sleeping in the vehicle. Freeman was taken to the San Bernardino County Juvenile Hall awaiting her parent’s arrival from Alabama. Walker was arrested on a warrant from Alabama for interference with custody and was booked into the Central Detention Center awaiting extradition to Alabama.
