Crestline, CA – On June 17, 2017, deputies from the Twin Peaks Station responded to Goodwin’s Market, in Crestline, regarding an assault incident.
The victim advised Matthew Kiser, 34 years old of Crestline, to leave the store and was told he was trespassing. Kiser had been given a trespassing warning in the past and was not to be on the property.
After being told to leave, Kiser punched the 75 year old victim, striking him on the forehead. After being struck, the victim fell to the floor and lost consciousness. Deputies quickly responded to a 911 call and contacted Kiser, as he was walking away from the store. Due to the victim being above the age of 75 years old, Kaiser was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for PC 368(B)(1), Elder Abuse with Injury.
