Big Bear Lake, CA – The employees of the Big Bear Lake McDonald’s got a break yesterday at 5:50 p.m. But they weren’t lovin’ it.

The fast food eatery received a phoned bomb threat just before 6 p.m. on Saturday and deputies from the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station were dispatched to the scene as employees and customers evacuated the establishment.
Big Bear Fire equipment staged near the building while the incident was investigated.
THE INCIDENT
Scanner transmissions indicated that an explosive device had reportedly been placed in the restaurant and that it was set to explode during a small time frame.
After a short time, the building was determined to be void of any explosive device and the doors to the restaurant and the drive thru were reopened at about 6:31 p.m.
THE INVESTIGATION
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
