Twin Peaks, CA – Over a dozen incidents of vandalism involving rocks being thrown through the windshields or rear windows of vehicles in Twin Peaks and Crestline have been reported to the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station in the past week.
Several of the reporting parties told deputies that a black Jeep with several occupants was seen speeding away from the scene of the rock throwing incidents.
THE INVESTIGATION
Twin Peaks deputies are investigating the vandalism incidents — 11 or more in Twin Peaks and at least 2 in Crestline.
Sheriff’s Department records show that ten occurred on March 17 and the balance reported on March 18.
The first of the Twin Peaks incidents was reported at 9:29 p.m. on March 17 in the 26000 block of Lake Forest Drive. The additional incidents were report between that time and 11:47 p.m.
The following day, the first Twin Peaks report was received at 7:17 a.m. in the 500 block of Rose Lane. However, that incident most likely occurred about the same time as those the previous day.
