Highland, CA – Authorities initiated a search Wednesday afternoon in the area of Highway 330 and Highland Avenue for an escaped fire inmate identified as 43-year-old Kent Lesporavsky.
The search for the white male inmate began as commuters made their way up Highway 330 Wednesday evening.
THE INMATE
Lesporavsky — who walked away from a fire crew at the intersection in Highland — was last seen wearing an orange California Department of Corrections jumpsuit at about 12:30 p.m.
The search — which included deputies, Sheriff’s Aviation and K-9’s — had not located the inmate late Wednesday.
The missing crew member is described as being about 6-feet 1-inches tall and weighing about 220 pounds. Lesporavsky has brown hair and eyes. He has no known tattoos.
The man is currently being housed by the CDC for transportation of marijuana and has prior history of theft, drug and assault on police, according to a media release.
