The arraignment — in Department S-15 — comes on the heels of a pre-preliminary hearing where Judge R. Glenn Yabuno granted a request by Deputy District Attorney Rosa Clark to hold the former Riverside County Deputy Sheriff to answer for the June 30 shooting in the driveway of Clark’s residence.

That hearing was held December 19 and included testimony by people’s witness Detective Edward De La Torre and the admission of several pieces of evidence gathered in the 23000 block of Wildwood Lane in Crestline

Baumgartner is being held on $1.75 million bail at the Central Detention Center in San Bernardino.

The Deputy District Attorney is not related to the victim.

THE INCIDENT

SO Twin Peaks LogoThe Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station and Homicide Detectives indicate that Baumgartner reportedly shot Clark — his next door neighbor  –  in the face with a .357 Magnum after the two men got in an argument outside Clark’s home.

Baumgartner has entered a not guilty plea and has also denied special allegations, according to court documents reviewed by ROTWNEWS.com.
