Twin Peaks, CA – Former Most Wanted fugitive Justin Dee Hightower, 38, who was recognized by an ROTWNEWS reader who alerted authorities of his location at a casino and arrested, returns to court Monday, June 23.
Hightower remains in custody at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and is being held on $100,000 bail. He is accused of dashing into Lake Gregory Trading Company and Pawn in Crestline and grabbing $500 cash from a female customer as she attempted to purchase a money order.
The unidentified female was reportedly Hightower’s on-off again girlfriend, according to the Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station media release.
COURT APPEARANCES
The first court appearance — on a felony robbery charge — is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. in San Bernardino Superior Court, Department S-7.
Immediately following that arraignment, Hightower will answer to a charge of failure to appear for a previous court hearing for allegedly being drunk in public. (127)
